Bordello of Blood (1996)

Last Saturday afternoon the Bad Catholic wasted a few hours watching this campy piece of entertainment on streaming Netflix.  Bordello of Blood released in 1996, one of the Tales From the Crypt movies, stars former Playboy Playmate Erika Eleniak as a distraught sister looking for her brother, Corey Feldman, who has mysteriously disappeared.  She hires a private detective, Dennis Miller, who tracks the brother to a strange mortuary which is also a brothel.  The patrons of the brothel go in, but they don't come out - at least not alive.

The Brothel of Blood is run by the Vampire Queen Lilith, played by the fabulous Angie Everhart.  Lilith has been brought back to life by a midget (Phil Fandacaro) in the employ of a TV preacher (Chris Sarandon) who has discovered a relic which will allow the possessor to control the Vampire Queen.

The TV Evangelist,  Reverend J.C. Current, has installed Lilith in the whorehouse business to take care of the wicked sinners which visit it and to make a mint disposing of their automobiles and other valuables.  Ultimately betrayed by Fandacaro's character who destroys the relic key, Reverend Current teams up with Dennis Miller to take care of the vampire whores with water guns full of Holy Water.

Of course, the Crypt Keeper is back with all of his ghoulish humor.  There is also loads of gratuitous nudity by loads of  good  looking female vampires.  With a great surprise ending, Bordello of Blood is a lot of fun to watch.  The Bad Catholic gives it 3 1/2  bats.
